Taking into account all the specifics helps with the selection, but the final decision is made based on the size and weight of the machine. Only a small part of consumers know the influence of the size of washing machines, their role in terms of work efficiency. In modern practice, there is a division into full-size and small-sized models and into three types of products by weight.
The acquisition should begin with preliminary preparation: studying the features depending on the size and finding free space at different points in the house. Front-loading units have been the most popular option in the world for the past 30–40 years. They are characterized by a transparent door and a horizontal type of filling the drum. The compact ones are much lower - 68-70 cm, and they are even placed under the sink. The depth of conventional devices is much greater than other options. For full-sized, narrow, especially narrow and reduced modifications, these are 60, 35–40, 32–35 and 43–45 cm, respectively. Width is a hallmark of compact cars. For them, the actual value is 47-50 cm, and for all the others - 60 cm. As for the loading of linen, from full-size to compact parameters change as follows: 5-7, 3.5-5.2, 3.5-4 and 3 kg
Models to a greater extent differ in height and overall dimensional characteristics, and not in depth, as frontal options. The first distinguishing parameter, the height is usually 84, 85, 89 or 90 cm. Less often, it is at the level of 80 cm. Reduced options are usually not higher than 66–70 cm, sometimes miniature ones with an indicator of 42 cm are found. In vertical versions, the depth is usually greater than the width - with the exception of low cars, the shape of which "tends" to cubic.
The classic ratio of depth and width is 60 × 40 cm. Compact washing machines have parameters of 35–55 cm for both indicators, and the smallest are 37 × 35 cm. For full-size models, the depth varies from 45 to 65 cm and the width is from 35 up to 55 cm. Devices with vertical loading as well as front ones are also double, i.e. with two drums. Combined vertical loading SMs usually consist of 2 aggregates connected horizontally and have a width of 75 cm.
In kitchen furniture, sometimes a module is provided for a washing machine up to a height of 85 cm. At the same time, any compact option will fit into a standard lower nightstand without shelves. What is the weight of the washing machine
The weight of the units is in the corridor of 30-100 kg, and the indicator is not always possible to determine by size. The mass of the product affects not only the convenience of transportation, but also the technical characteristics: the heavier the device, the less it vibrates from the rotation of the drum. The basis of the overall mass index is balancing elements that add stability. These parts, taken together, must be several times greater than the mass of clothing or shoes to be laid.
Heavy counterweights, in turn, prevent the washing machine from “walking” on the floor. Light options up to 50 kg are built into headsets without fear that there will be any breakdowns. Cars weighing 50–70 kg are in the middle category; they are usually placed separately from furniture. Devices weighing over 70 kg are considered heavy. These have more options for spin speed.
Tips and tricks for installation and placement
First of all, the unit is exempted from transportation accessories: bolts, brackets and other things. Starting the device with extra devices, it is quite possible, will end in failure. The edges of the machine should have a noticeable margin from the wall at the back - 2-3 cm in the open space and 5 - in the built-in module. Washing machines are supported - they are always regulated.
The inlet hose is positioned at an angle: not more than 45 ° for the drainage point on the right side of the rear panel and not more than 35 ° on the left. In this case, if the standard hose is not enough - you have to look for another. It is not recommended to organize a drain point in the washbasin of the bathroom or kitchen. It is very unhygienic, especially in the kitchen. Storage facilities for dirty laundry, as well as cleaning / washing products, are organized next to the washing machine.
